Served as an Hon. Asst. Professor at KMC Manipal — taking up the clinical and surgical training of the postgraduates of the Department of Ophthalmology till 2010 — when KMC Manipal signed an agreement to help in the operation and upkeep of the Udupi District Hospital. This interest of his was carried on with the introduction of the Fellowship Center in Prasad Netralaya
