Impressed by his charity work in Karnataka’s 7 districts and in the neighbouring state of Kerala, Health Minister of Karnataka Mr. U.T. Khadar appointed him as the Chairman of the Vision Committee in Karnataka.

As service was his passion, he began conducting full fledged eye camps under the Netra Jyothi Charitable Trust (NJCT).
